My Aspiration

Patience; Living with a Brain Injury is a first-hand account of my experiences of accepting, managing and overcoming a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). From My Journey, covering both the ups and the downs of my recovery, to my Top Tips for managing a brain injury and it’s symptoms.

Throughout my recovery I have battled with aspects of both my physical and mental health. However, it’s important to remember that everyone’s brain is different, so no two people’s journeys will be the same. What I went through may not reflect what you are going through, but hopefully some of my experiences will help you, or someone you may know.

My goal is to help others suffering with a brain injury, or post-concussion syndrome, to understand what is happening to them and to put some really simple steps in place to help aid their recovery. I also know how important family and friends are in any recovery, so this is for them too.

I’m almost 4 years into my journey now and I certainly don’t have it all figured out. But what I do know, is that I’ve got to a point where I can live a normal life (the majority of the time anyway). My brain injury no longer defines me. So, I want to share with you all how I got to this point. And PATIENCE is one of the key elements….
